# ProcessOB3PRetention documentation

ProcessOB3PRetention determines which third-party claims are eligible for document deletion under retention policies. The console application is called in Automic by `ARCH.ONBASE.PROCESS.3P.RETENTION.EOM`; it uses its date arguments to identify claims due for retention processing, submits those claims to the OnBase Third Party Archival Service, and marks the corresponding retention records as processed through the Imaging API.
